The roles of women in the 1950's are to cook, clean and do all of the chores a woman is suppose to do as a wife in the 50's. They have to be a good wife and have to do everything the man expects from his woman. but what Katherine Watson views are, are that they shouldn't follow the traditional wife expectations. she thinks that the girls are dumb for getting married at such a young age. She thinks that they should finish school first.

I think that thew marriage between Spencer and Betty was just terrible. They barley got to have time with each other. He was always going to "New York" for business. There for I do not think that she was happy. So was so jealous of the other couples and wanted what they had.  But she knew that she couldn't. Her mom wouldn't let her get a divorce because that they had to stay together. It's traditional I guess

  1. That's very true. Women in the 50's were to be a housewife and nothing else. To have their own life, career, and personal thoughts was unheard of until Ms. Watson.

  2. They shouldn't expect to get married right away. The girls should be getting their education first and not all traditions have to be followed.
